Member for Bellarine Alison Marchant will be participating in the 2024 Wreck2Reef Swim on February 10.

The Wreck2Reef is a famous local event, initiated by the Indented Head Yacht Club in 2010 and has been enjoyed by many who love the open water swim challenge.

Alison will be participating in the inaugural ‘Salty Bitches’ 600m open water swim, whilst cheering on and supporting the participants in the other events, including 800m, 1.2km and 2.5km open water swim as well as the junior 300m dash.

The Wreck2Reef Swim is an exciting event, with something for everyone. This event is open to all ages from younger kids partaking in the 300m dash, to passionate swimmers participating in the 2.5km swim.

Lines attributable to Member for Bellarine Alison Marchant:

“Last year it was a privilege to pull the starting gun and watch swimmers compete, but I had made a promise to this year jump in the water myself.”

“I’m excited to give myself a challenge and join in the camaraderie of the open water swim, as well as cheering on everyone giving it go”.

“The beautiful Indented Head beach is the backdrop to the Wreck2Reef event, and encourages locals and visitors to the area. Another opportunity for families to get active outdoors and whilst showing off the beautiful landscape of the Bellarine.”
