About Alison Marchant

Before entering politics, Alison was a primary school teacher and with a family background in farming, later became a small-scale farmer.
Born and raised in Leopold, she knows Bellarine is a beautiful place to live, work and visit. Alison has a strong history of putting community first, as illustrated by her four-year campaign to fight for a ban on fracking. It was from this campaign that Alison found her passion for politics and came to fully understand the importance of government in shaping the community to maintain its vibrance and health.
Growing up, Alison’s family instilled in her the values of helping others first and giving back to the community and she wants to ensure that the community is at the heart of decision-making.
