The Allan Labor Government is boosting ambulance resources in Ocean Grove, giving paramedics the facilities and support they need to quickly respond to local emergencies and save lives.

Member for Bellarine Alison Marchant announced the upgrades to the Ocean Grove station are now complete – giving hardworking paramedics the modern workplace they need to respond to local emergencies and save lives.

The upgraded facilities include better rest areas, new training rooms, improved security and parking and upgraded medical stores and delivery rooms.

Throughout construction, services at the ambulance station continued to operate, meaning there was no disruption to emergency care for locals.

The Ocean Grove station is one of the 46 new or upgraded ambulance stations delivered through a $279 million investment by the Allan Labor Government to provide better working conditions for paramedics and ensure lifesaving emergency care is available for all Victorians.

The new stations form part of the Government’s continued investment in Ambulance Victoria, bolstered by an additional $124 million in the Victorian Budget 2022/23 to employ more paramedics, buy new vehicles and get more Victorians the care they need.

The Labor Government has invested more than $2 billion into ambulance services –doubling the on-road workforce, delivering 46 new or upgraded ambulance stations, with another five on the way, and establishing Australia’s first Paramedic Practitioners who will hit the road in 2026.
