Bellarine Boating Infrastructure Upgrades

30 October 2025

Victorian boaters enjoy better experiences on the water through new access upgrades and structural maintenance works being completed across the state.

Member for Bellarine Alison Marchant has announced Bellarine boating infrastructure will be upgraded through the Labor Government’s recreational boating grant programs.

Through the Structural Maintenance Grants Program, 13 projects across Victoria will share in more than $475,000, including right here in the Bellarine with Bellarine Bayside Foreshore Committee of Management receiving funding to upgrade Indented Head Boat Ramp and Steels Rock Boat Ramp.

Six projects will share in more than $500,000 through the Dredging and Access Grants Program, including Clifton Springs Boat Ramp and Point Richards Boat Ramp.

Since 2021-22, 85 projects have shared in more than $6.7 million worth of funding to ensure dredging and maintenance can be carried out quickly and where they are needed most.

Ramp upgrades are also on the way for Werribee South, Geelong’s Limeburners Point, Tooradin, Port Welshpool, Mornington’s Schnapper Point and an entirely new ramp to be built at Howqua on Lake Eildon.
